Our Leaders

Brian Cameron

Senior Pastor

I was born March 9th, 1979 in Hattiesburg, Ms. I am a true southerner and grew up loving the outdoors. Shortly after graduating high school, I worked as a golf professional until plunging into the Telecommunications industry where I met the love of my life, Jennifer, who graciously married me in 2004. God blessed us with two awesome kids, Zach and Sidney Grace. They are a blessing and privilege to parent.

Over the years, I have developed a growing passion for golf, running, cooking, reading, and any type of outdoor adventure with my family; especially long road trips with Jennifer. One of our Top 3 favorite movies is Napolean Dynamite. That gives you a small glimpse into our quirky sense of humor!

My personal testimony is similar to many others. I was raised up in a Baptist church and came to an intellectual understanding of the gospel at a young age, but strayed far from the faith as I entered adulthood. It wasn’t until later in life that I truly experienced God’s regenerating grace. God gave me a desire to trust and follow Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Shortly thereafter, He began to showing me that his plan for my life was to serve him vocationally. In June of 2013, I surrendered to God’s call to be a Pastor and was ordained that following September into the gospel ministry. I enrolled at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and later transfer to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where I continue to pursue my ministerial education. I have committed my life to the Expositional preaching of the Bible and pastoring within the local church.

My story is living proof of God’s love, patience, and mercy towards sinners. Because of His grace, I love seeing others come to a saving knowledge of the truth and growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. My “life verse” is 2 Timothy 1:7, where we are reminded that "God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and of love and of self-control”. This verse continues to give me strength, hope, and happiness as I strive to love my family, persevere in the ministry, and live in a way that honors Christ.

Alan Stevens

Music & Media Pastor

In 1969, as a freshman in college,  I surrendered to a call in ministry and music production, and began serving in churches in 1971 as an interim of music ministry. Through  the years, my  calling has grown to include, youth ministry and puppet productions. I attended University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg to complete my Bachelor of Music. I have been married to my wife, Dee since 2010.  We are both blessed with children and grandchildren.

My love of music is more than just a vocation, it is also my favorite past time. I teach voice and am a piano instructor of ages 2 -90. I am a Star Wars fanatic. Some of my favorite things are going to the movies, Oreos, and Disney World.

When I joined the staff of Bel-Aire in 2004 as Associate Pastor of Music & Media, the church was experiencing major growth. As Worship leader, I developed children’s choirs, praise band, praise singers, praise orchestra, and student choir. Around that time, we launched a media department and developed a weekly radio broadcast, and video ministry, which captured the weekly services on DVD with several special TV broadcasts on WLOX-TV. This ministry has grown to include weekly live streaming of worship services on the internet, allowing Bel-Aire to share Christ with the church and the community.

Today, we continue to have a strong Worship Choir, Student Choir, Praise Team, Children’s Choir, Drama Team, & Puppets. The theme for our Music Ministry is Multi-Generational, which includes all ages sharing Christ and leading our church together in worship.

The driving force behind my ministry is the truths found in my favorite verses. My motivation: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” My action: Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” My purpose: Galatians 2:20  “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Dr. Gerald Anderson

Biblical Counseling Pastor

After being a member of a Church for years, God brought me to the realization of my need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, As the Spirit of God convicted me of my sin one night, by faith I gave my heart to the Lord!

God brought an amazing lady in my life named Joy. We dated till I graduated High School and was married in 1977. She is truly the Joy in my life as we raised two girls, Brynn Joy and Brooke Joy. Joy and I now are blessed with our son in law Donovan and our granddaughter MaKenzie Joy. I have a lot of joy in my life!

As we were serving in a Church in 1988 God placed a call on my life into the ministry. I have been honored to serve Churches in Mississippi and Alabama. Over the years Joy and I realized that God placed us to help people struggling with life.

The Lord gave me the opportunity to attend Bible College. One of the classes I had the first semester was Christian Counseling. My heart was touched with the first class I attended. I longed to take every counseling course that was offered. It has been my heart’s desire to reach out to people who are struggling with life and give them hope from God’s Word. People need to know someone cares for them, will give time to listen to them, and give them clear answers from God’s Word. I have completed my studies with a Doctor of Christian Counseling.
Joy and I worked in the secular field of Mental Health and Addiction for over 20 years. We experienced first hand people longing for a better life that could only be found in Jesus Christ. Our heart for counseling has allowed us to help Pastors and Churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. With the help of another couple, we designed the Welcome Home ministry at a Christian Recovery in Mobile, Alabama. This ministry helped prepare families for the time when the men graduated from the addiction program. Families needed answers, direction, and hope as their loved ones faced this challenging time in life.

I am honored to be able to serve as Pastor of Counseling and Care. 1st Corinthians 13:13 says, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” This verse continually reminds me that the world needs faith in God, they must place their hope in God, and are saved by
 the love of God!

Andrew Roberts

Associate Pastor of Students and Families

I grew up going to church. Every time the doors were open, I was there. This afforded me the opportunity to learn about God and His love for His children at an early age. When I was 7 years old, I recognized my need for a savior and gave my life to Christ. I continued to walk in Christ and learned more and more about Him, certainly not without stumble though. When I was a teenager, I felt God’s call on my life to surrender to full-time ministry. I did not really understand what that meant, but over the years I began to figure that out. After graduating high school, I attended William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS to seek a degree in Religious Studies. After graduating from William Carey I enrolled at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I finally graduated from NOBTS in May of 2021 with a Master’s in Pastoral Ministry.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Andrea. We have one son, Alan. He is a tremendous blessing to our lives. We love to spend time outdoors and vacationing to Tennessee. I am an avid LSU and do my best to catch most of their ballgames in just about every sport. I enjoy fishing, golf, disc golf, and reading.

My passion in ministry is to see others know God more. Nothing is more important than knowing God and loving Him more. I believe that discipleship is a key tool in helping others know God more intimately. Discipleship starts first in the home but continues with friends and neighbors. My desire in life is to be about making disciples.
