Our Leaders

Brian Cameron

Senior Pastor

I was born March 9th, 1979 in Hattiesburg, Ms. I am a true southerner and grew up loving the outdoors. Shortly after graduating high school, I worked as a golf professional until plunging into the Telecommunications industry where I met the love of my life, Jennifer, who graciously married me in 2004. God blessed us with two awesome kids, Zach and Sidney Grace. They are a blessing and privilege to parent.

Over the years, I have developed a growing passion for golf, running, cooking, reading, and any type of outdoor adventure with my family; especially long road trips with Jennifer. One of our Top 3 favorite movies is Napolean Dynamite. That gives you a small glimpse into our quirky sense of humor!

My personal testimony is similar to many others. I was raised up in a Baptist church and came to an intellectual understanding of the gospel at a young age, but strayed far from the faith as I entered adulthood. It wasn’t until later in life that I truly experienced God’s regenerating grace. God gave me a desire to trust and follow Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Shortly thereafter, He began to showing me that his plan for my life was to serve him vocationally. In June of 2013, I surrendered to God’s call to be a Pastor and was ordained that following September into the gospel ministry. I enrolled at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and later transfer to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where I continue to pursue my ministerial education. I have committed my life to the Expositional preaching of the Bible and pastoring within the local church.

My story is living proof of God’s love, patience, and mercy towards sinners. Because of His grace, I love seeing others come to a saving knowledge of the truth and growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. My “life verse” is 2 Timothy 1:7, where we are reminded that "God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and of love and of self-control”. This verse continues to give me strength, hope, and happiness as I strive to love my family, persevere in the ministry, and live in a way that honors Christ.

Alan Stevens

Music & Media Pastor

In 1969, as a freshman in college,  I surrendered to a call in ministry and music production, and began serving in churches in 1971 as an interim of music ministry. Through  the years, my  calling has grown to include, youth ministry and puppet productions. I attended University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg to complete my Bachelor of Music. I have been married to my wife, Dee since 2010.  We are both blessed with children and grandchildren.

My love of music is more than just a vocation, it is also my favorite past time. I teach voice and am a piano instructor of ages 2 -90. I am a Star Wars fanatic. Some of my favorite things are going to the movies, Oreos, and Disney World.

When I joined the staff of Bel-Aire in 2004 as Associate Pastor of Music & Media, the church was experiencing major growth. As Worship leader, I developed children’s choirs, praise band, praise singers, praise orchestra, and student choir. Around that time, we launched a media department and developed a weekly radio broadcast, and video ministry, which captured the weekly services on DVD with several special TV broadcasts on WLOX-TV. This ministry has grown to include weekly live streaming of worship services on the internet, allowing Bel-Aire to share Christ with the church and the community.

Today, we continue to have a strong Worship Choir, Student Choir, Praise Team, Children’s Choir, Drama Team, & Puppets. The theme for our Music Ministry is Multi-Generational, which includes all ages sharing Christ and leading our church together in worship.

The driving force behind my ministry is the truths found in my favorite verses. My motivation: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” My action: Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” My purpose: Galatians 2:20  “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Grayson Orman

Discipleship & Missions Pastor

I am the Discipleship and Missions Pastor at Bel Aire Baptist Church and work directly with Youth from 7th to 12th grade. I am married to my wife Karen and we have one daughter, Cali. My wife is my favorite person in the world, and my daughter is a gift from God. We enjoy Saturdays together and do our best to keep this time for family. Karen is a graduate of Ole Miss, Cali is in 9th Grade, I attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS), where I earned a Masters in Discipleship.

I spend most of my time studying the Bible and meeting with groups of youth for discipleship. When I am not studying or meeting with discipleship groups, I work on mission strategies to reach the world for Jesus. As part of our commitment to “Neighborhoods and Nations,” Bel Aire Baptist is engaged in a mission initiative called Multi-Family Residential Outreach, M-FRO for short. M-FRO was designed to reach our immediate community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by building real, long-term relationships in apartment communities and manufactured home neighborhoods. Bel Aire Baptist Church's foreign missions efforts are focused on three countries, Brazil, Belize, and China. We have full-time missionaries in Brazil and China, and part-time missionaries in Belize.

The Bible verse that has guided me though life is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." I like this verse because many times I do not know what direction to take, but I can always trust God to direct me. His understanding is perfect and when I give Him glory for what He does, He leads me on straight paths.
