MISSION STATEMENT

Bel-Aire Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making mature disciples through Christ's Word, in the power of the Spirit.

Vision Statement

Bel-Aire Baptist Church desires to see a Christ-center, Word-saturated, and Spirit-empowered church where people of all generations are formed by the Gospel, living in community, multiplying and maturing disciples, and planting healthy churches for the glory of God.

Expositional Preaching

We are committed to preaching that derives its message from the biblical text, explaining and applying it in its context so that God's voice - not the preacher's ideas - set the agenda. We preach consecutively through books of the Bible, with every sermon clearly tied to the meaning and intent of the text.

2 Timothy 4:2; Nehemiah 8:8

Christ-Centered, Biblcial Worship

We pursue worship shaped by Scripture that exalts God’s character, responds rightly to His Word, and prioritizes substance over style. Our gatherings are structured around the Word—read, preached, sung, and prayed—with an emphasis on reverence and congregational participation.

John 4:24; Colossians 3:16

Dependence on Corporate and Personal Prayer

We seek to cultivate a posture of humble reliance on God through consistent, intentional prayer—both privately and as a church. We prioritize corporate prayer gatherings and integrate substantive prayer into every service.

Acts 2:42; 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Meaningful Church Membership and Accountability

We affirm a clearly defined, covenantal commitment to a local body marked by mutual care, responsibility, and biblical accountability. Every member is called to actively serve, give faithfully, and engage in the life and mission of the church. We practice pastoral oversight and, when necessary, lovingly pursue church discipline.

Hebrews 10:24–25; Matthew 18:15–17

Deep, Intentional Discipleship

We are committed to purposeful investment in one another for spiritual growth through teaching, modeling, and accountability within real relationships. Every member is encouraged to be teachable and equipped to both be discipled and disciple others.

2 Timothy 2:2; Colossians 1:28

Cross-Generational Life and Investment

We seek to cultivate a church culture where older and younger believers actively invest in one another for spiritual growth and unity. We create intentional opportunities for different generations to interact, mentor, and serve together.

Titus 2:2–5; Psalm 145:4

Bold Evangelism and global Mission

We are driven by a shared urgency to proclaim the gospel locally and globally, motivated by conviction, compassion, and obedience to Christ. We equip members to share the gospel and actively support and participate in missions and church planting.

Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 10:14–15
